How To Pop a Prickly Cactus Pita?

To pop a Prickly Cactus Pita; all you will have to do is place the pita on a flat or cast iron pan that has been preheated for about a minute or two, at medium to high heat. The pita will pop within 15 - 20 seconds.

If you can find a stainless steel trivet rack stand, like the one seen in the video (to the right of the screen), then you can achieve the same results.

If you are using the stainless steel trivet rack stand, you will need to make sure that the element is on medium to high heat, first. Once, the heat is on for about a minute or so, then place your pita on the rack and it should start to pop. This will only work with electric elements, if you are using a gas stove, you will need to use aluminum foil as a barrier between the gas flame and the Prickly Cactus Pita. This way you will avoid burning the Prickly Cactus Pita.

As we use nothing artificial, it is recommended that if you do not use all your pack of prickly pitas within fourteen (14) days, that you freeze them and defrost as needed. We believe in only using the greatest and freshest ingredients, so that is why we only ship you the freshest baked Prickly Cactus Pitas. We are happy to use freshly squeezed lime juice to control acidity and any bacteria, therefore, our Prickly Cactus Pitas only last two weeks in the refrigerator. We ship our Prickly Cactus Pitas fresh/unfrozen depending on the time of year and the distance they need to travel. For convenience, freeze the Prickly Cactus Pitas as they arrive, if you are not planning to use them quickly. They can last up to 3 months in the freezer. To eat them, bring the desired amount out of the freezer and let them defrost at room temperature for about half an hour. When they are defrosted they will be ready to be heated and eaten.
